Aromatherapy jewellery can be made from a variety of materials including glass, metals, and clay. There are many essential oil jewelry designers, with a number of designs and types to choose from. Diffuser Necklace

A clay necklace absorbs the scent when essential oils are dropped on its surface. When worn, the pendant will warm up from the user’s body heat and disperse fragrance throughout the air.
An essential oil diffuser necklace is a great way to keep the power of aromatherapy close to you. Diffuser jewelry is usually ornamental in some way, combining style with a small, personal diffuser. Lockets, pendants, and absorbent beads, are some of the designs that an aromatherapy necklace might use. Regardless of the style, aromatherapy necklaces work with your body heat to warm the essential oils and diffuse their scent.
An aromatherapy pendant or necklace works in different ways, depending on the design. Glass pendants can trap oils inside so they do not seep out, but the scent does disperse. Metals like silver or pewter make a great diffuser locket, and usually features a small scented pad or sponge inside the locket which diffuses essential oil through small holes. Lava rock and clay are also popular materials for diffuser necklaces. In the case of lava rock and clay necklaces, the user can add a few drops of essential oil to the bead, which will absorb the oil and diffuse the scent. Users should wait until the oil has fully absorbed into the clay so skin and clothing does not come into contact with undiluted essential oils.
Each essential oil has its own staying power. Some will last days while others may fade relatively quickly. Scents may dry up or fade on their own, and can be refreshed by adding the same essential oil, or changed by cleaning the pendant or sponge. Scents in clay can linger even faintly, so you might want to use the same essential oil again or choose an oil that complements the original scent.
Essential Oil Bracelet
The same materials that make great aromatherapy necklaces can be used for a diffuser bracelet, as well. Glass or metal can be used as aromatherapy bracelet charms, while lava rock or clay are often used for beaded bracelets. Glass charms diffuse the oil that is held securely inside them and metal charms allow scent from oil-infused pads to seep out from pinholes in the jewelry. Essential oils applied to clay charms and beads soak in the oil and disperse the scent. Users can refresh the scent by adding more of the same essential oil or change it by cleaning it with a solution of water and rubbing alcohol, or according to the designer’s instructions.
Oil diffuser jewelry comes in a variety of styles, and diffuses essential oil in different ways according to the design. Regardless of your personal style and lifestyle, there is a piece of essential oil jewelry that is perfect for you.
