According to the RMO website, every batch of essential oils undergoes multiple laboratory tests. First, analysts perform gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS) tests to determine whether there are any unwanted compounds in the oils. If a batch passes those tests, it moves on to an organoleptic test and refractive index test, to ensure the oil is of the highest quality.
Customers can request the GC/MS test results on any single essential oil that’s been purchased by simply visiting the Rocky Mountain Oils website and entering the unique batch number located on the bottom of the bottle.

For example, the “Concentration” kit features the “Energize,” “Attention Assist,” and “Joyful Moments” blends, which are designed to help users concentrate and focus on the task at hand. The kit also comes with orange and cedarwood essential oils, which are said to help maintain energy levels.
In 2016, the company launched a line of essential oil blends specially formulated for children two years and older. The kids’ line of essential oils come pre-diluted with a carrier oil, so their concentration remains at 2%. These oils come in roll-on containers, which are mess-free and easy to apply.
